Seven good reasons to buy my CD

1.Buying my music is like buying fruit directly from the farmer or cheese from the shepherd… From the producer (Myself) to the consumer (You) without the middleman, and therefore lower costs.

2.You would contribute in the fight against pollution and protecting our environment. How? Reducing the transit of the CD through wholesalers, distributors and retailers. The CD will only travel from my home to yours through the Italian postal system.

3.You would be supporting music that is self-produced and artists that have to improvise as entrepreneurs since large record labels no longer invest in new unknown artists unless they come from TV shows (Sometimes also nonetheless talented- For goodness sake!) and therefore guaranteeing higher profits without too many risks.

4.Because the best music doesn’t necessarily have to go through the mass media like television and radio. Rather, the power of these means are unfortunately standardizing the public’s tastes and at times we passively accept whatever is proposed to us.

5.Because the price you pay for  this CD scarcely paid the expensive costs which in small productions such as these may be quite a bit. Remember that your money goes to paying the musicians, the recording studio fees and the printing company (As well as a controversial tax paid to the SIAE).

6.Because you can listen to it before… and buy it after… only if you like it ;-) .

7.Because “Art is an investment of capital, culture is an alibi.” Ennio Flaiano (1910-1972) Italian writer.

My first CD release featuring new and never published songs

After a year of hard work, I have released my first CD featuring new and unpublished songs entitled “Fully Alive!”. The CD includes songs in English, Italian and “Scalese” *.

I am the writer of most of the song lyrics, whereas my great friend Salvatore Scala composed, arranged and played several instruments, as well as lending his voice as a background singer. My lyrics reflect an optimistic view of life as well as a wish and desire to see some good where there does not seem to be any.

The third member of the trio, who equally shared in this nice experience, is the talented musician Giuseppe Gadau. He played with great professionalism and recorded and mixed the songs in his recording studio in Sassari (“Banjo”).

* Scalese is a unique language that does not use words or phrases but rather an invented and musically translated language created by Salvatore Scala. These new “sounds” are a result of Salvatore’s research for new and original sonority.  One may say it that it is a new and abnormal grammelot because it possesses the peculiarity of being written rather than being invented every time it is sung.
